sweettweety #1 Posted June 28, 2014 Hi, Have anyone paid for their cruise by using e check? There is a 2% discount off the cruise price from Viking for using it. Any pro and cons compared to paying by my mastercard? Thanks.
captainmcd #2 Posted June 28, 2014 I've paid by e-check on a river cruise that was only about six months out, but elected to pay for our ocean cruise with credit card last year, giving us a little more protection in case of trouble with the new company or ship delivery. When you consider the rewards or cash back on the credit card, there is not that much difference.
kathy9 #3 Posted June 29, 2014 I also paid by my Am Ex card to get the protection and the points. Kathy
Rosethorn40 #4 Posted July 6, 2014 I saved $105 by paying with e-check. With our cruise about 5 months out I felt perfectly safe-not worried about them going under.
Vineyard View #5 Posted July 6, 2014 We use cc for purchases because we are all about the miles - they add up and help a lot to cover international flights - but having the choice is a good thing!
Proseknitic #6 Posted August 28, 2014 Since I live in Europe, we do just about everything by e-check=bank transfer. As much as I might like the cash back (1%) by using the credit card, if I use bank transfer then my husband pays rather than me..... (grin) -Holly who of course would pay her share... airfare.... Frankfurt to Istanbul? Better deal on my end.
