Considering Alaska in 2015 with family. Grandparents (us), two daughters and SILs, two grandsons, age 5, granddaughter, age 7. Would like SV but long way from Fun Factory. On the other hand, aft buffet would ge nice for ice cream and early dinner for kids while adults go to MDR. We are elite and always do AQ but this will be different sort of trip. (Sorry, will have to find out to get rid of Inifity 2013 countdown clock--great trip BTW. Also have Australia/ NZ booked for Feb. 2015.) Would appreciate advice on kids and SV. Thanks.

Since you mentioned Sunset Verandas, you're probably on Solstice, as M class don't have SV.

We find the SV to be nice, but not very large. And unlike the huge verandas for the aft cabins on the M class ships, the SV verandas aren't nearly as big----and you can have a soot problem on them.

There are no aft elevators on the S class, so it's a pretty good walk to the closest set of elevators.

I'm not sure what you're asking for with respect to having kids in these cabins.
