Transatlantic Tom Posted July 2, 2014 #1 Posted July 2, 2014 Too early to tell yet from forecasts, but things could get lively weatherwise-wise for QM2 Friday-Saturday. Current projections have the storm near New England those days as the ship is in port at Boston, then making her way around Cape Cod on her way back to NY.
Underwatr Posted July 2, 2014 #2 Posted July 2, 2014 QM2 is the best ship for it. We followed Hurricane Earl out of New York in September 2010 after hiding overnight in New York harbor. Lively seas but just enough motion to know that we were on a ship. :)

Except for having to skip Newport because of the overnight in NYC, that storm affected the cruise not at all.
Underwatr Posted July 2, 2014 #5 Posted July 2, 2014 Yeah, I would't have wanted to tender in to Newport on that day anyway. :)
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 2, 2014 #6 Posted July 2, 2014 Our thoughts go out to everyone who is in the middle of the hurricane including those on land. Keith
_kerry_ Posted July 4, 2014 #7 Posted July 4, 2014 Sending good thoughts for safe travel through hurricane Arthur. We will be embarking Sunday morning. Can't wait to see you :) Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app ~ Kerry
Shawnino Posted July 4, 2014 #8 Posted July 4, 2014 BlueRiband has been doing a fine job blogging. Weather in Halifax was dreary but so far they seem to have avoided truly terrible weather. I believe they are in Boston presently.

Nclbella Posted July 5, 2014 #10 Posted July 5, 2014 We are still in Boston, pouring rain, but the wind is not too bad. Making the best out of it 😉 Sent from my iPad using Forums

We'll keep the lights on for you :) The weather forecast for Sunday in NY is good, and while air traffic on the East Coast has been FUBAR for the last few days, things are getting back to normal. Thanks for your posts. Regards, -S
