Pride tax question...

But hopefully we have a consensus that we need to stop saying "until you leave the bay", because technically, Carnival and/or the State or Maryland has no right to collect Maryland sales tax while in ship is in the Virginia portion of the bay.

I've read here to purchase cheers, soda cards etc. once you are out to sea to avoid sales taxes.

 

For the Pride out of Baltimore, does that mean we have to wait until the ship is out of the bay (first sea day)?

 

If so, I might bring some soda to tide us over... And maybe some wine too.

 

Yeah, made this mistake with like 4 rounds of DODs before setting sail on our second cruise:cool:
