We have previously sailed to Jamaica, grand cayman, Cozumel, Honduras and Belize. I've heard that, in general, the seas tend to be rougher on this itinerary . Is this true? Rare CruisinCrow Posted August 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2014 We've cruised to the Bahamas many times and have never had any problems with rough seas. The roughest part is usually when you cross the Florida Straits, usually a few hours after you leave Florida, but sometimes you don't even notice it. It really depends on the weather.
