Is everyone getting this email to their NCL account? I haven't received one to my personal email. I'll check my NCL when I'm not on my phone.

It came to my personal email. They changed it on the vacation summary on the NCL account too.

I beleive that these two letters encompass the times between when Getaway stops going to St Maartan and when she starts going to Tortola. I am in the Tortola group, so I received the April , 2015 letter.

The others are in the St Maartan group, and are traveling earlier, so received the letter that applies to their itinerary.

THEREFORE, I beleive that we can safely say that all the trips to Nassau from now until October, 2015 a 10am-6pm time slot.

YIPEE!!!

I am on the April 18, 2015 sailing to St. Maarten and also on the April 25th sailing to Tortola. We haven't received any notification yet and my NCL cruise summary has not changed.

Maybe mine got lost in the mail :D

I'll go on the assumption that the new times are in effect!!

Thanks!!

I wonder why there are different versions.....

They may have sent out two separate emails depending on when your cruise is booked. We also received the email for our December 2014 sailing showing this:

Norwegian Cruise Line has important information for you regarding Norwegian Getaway's 7-Day Eastern Caribbean sailings

from Miami, Florida from August 30, 2014 to April 18, 2015. All guests booked on these sailings need to be aware of this

change and travel professionals are asked to forward this information to their clients.

April 25 would be the next period so in essence it will go from August 30, 2014 to October 31, 2015.

Well I thought I was going mad until I checked things out!!

We were on the 9th August sailing and our itinerary had us arriving in Nassau at noon, but I've just checked my dailies as I was sure we left the ship BEFORE noon and sure enough, the daily stated disembarkation approx. 10:15am and all aboard 5:30pm.

With this change we may actually do something like a resort day pass at the Sheraton again.

We have done it in the past and it was awesome. This past Getaway trip we got off the ship, ate lunch, got sweaty, and went back and enjoyed the empty ship.

Mr Sheehan was aboard our cruise and it seems that the late arrival in Nassau was a bone of contention with many guests.

For us, like David Sobe, the early departure from St Thomas was more of a big deal as I ado not really care too much about Nassau, but I know there are a lot of Atlantis fans. My goodness- even the captain was hard- selling Atlantis on our July 19 cruise!

The new itinerary has a full day in St Thomas, but an early day in Tortola.

If they would just ditch Nassau and and keep Tortola AND St Maartan.....

I am going on the getaway in November with 2 other couples. We all received the itinerary change email last night for our upcoming cruise. I don't see the big deal either way. Why were some wanting a time change? We are just going over to the Atlantis Casino.

A lot has to do with Atlantis and families. It gets very packed and , from what I have read here, even the trip over can be daunting, hot and miserable. The earlier you get there, the more time you have for the attractions. By the time people would reach Atlantis with the noon arrival, the lines were long. And sometimes it was sold out( for those not purchasing thru the cruise line)

As it was, the excursion was 159 bucks. The extra 2 hours will be welcomed.

Even for people just wanting to walk around a bit- noon is a horrible hour to arrive. By the time you get off it is one- ish and miserable hot. At least 10 am gives a teeeeeny respite from the hellish heat.

Sailing 9/6 (next sailing!) and Nassau has been adjusted to 10-6 on the itinerary. We booked a snorkel excursion through NCL, originally set to begin at 12:30 (1/2 hour after we were scheduled to dock). I know the e-mail says that excursion times will be adjusted accordingly, but ours still says 12:30. Has anyone had their excursion times adjusted yet? Not a big deal to me either way, just curious.

I recieved the same letter for our November 7, 2015 Getaway sailing as well...even though everyone else has posted it is only thru October 2015. So looks like they are changing the times for other cruises as well.

I out the wrong month in my title- sorry!

We got an email, regarding an important change to,our itinerary- scared me for a bit.

There had been a lot of talk and at least 4 visits by Mr Sheehan ( he was on our trip) and many complaints about arriving,in Nassau at noon on Getaway. Several, individual cruises have had their times altered, but most of us arrived at noon. I have no idea if a any of this sunk in , but the schedule has changed.

The important email, states that cruises April-October on Getaway in

2015 will be in Nassau 10am- 6pm.

I apologize for the typos

I am on an ipad with a sliced finger!

Nora, when are you going on the Getaway? I didn't know you booked for a second time. You must've really enjoyed the ship!

I wonder when the Aquaventure excursion we booked will show up with the new times. The representative I spoke with was sure that the excursion returned to the ship at 6:15 until I pointed out that the itinerary now has the ship leaving at 6:00.

I'd like to reserve dinner that night, but the earlier slots are blocked by NCL's conflict-prevention algorithm due to this excursion's currently listed return time. We may have to wait to book this restaurant onboard.
