Souvenir from PR for a First-Grade Boy?

Can anyone recommend what would make a good souvenir from Puerto Rico for a boy who is in first grade? (And where to find it?) It is for a friend's child. I've been to PR before, but can't think of anything since I never looked for souvenirs for children there (and only really souvenir shopped at the rain forest shop, which I'm not going to). I'll mainly be in San Juan (land trip, not a cruise).

Thanks! :)

When my son was 9 we went there and he picked a "rain stick" as a souvineer. it's a stick that is painted with tree frogs, lizards etc, and when you turn it upside down and then rightside up, you can hear something in there rolling around, sounds like rain. The one he got is painted brightly, but is still retains that natural look of a stick since only the objects are painted. Just make sure that it will fit in your suitcase. I have also seen flute like things that can be fun.
