Best place for a meet and greet ???

We'll be on the Conquest in November and we're thinking of having a meet and greet (up to 20 people). Any suggestions on best time/place to have one?

Thanks

I wish CCL was more pro active in working with CC Roll Calls. At least one other cruise line automatically sets a date, time and location while providing staff (CD or some other) for the event.

Yes, it's true only a fraction of passenger/guests on any given cruise may be Cruise Critic members, but it is nice to have that recognition.

Many of the meet and greets don't turn out well because they have them on embarkation day right after sailing. A lot of the people would rather be exploring the ship right then. As another poster mentioned, a sea day is much better.

I disagree. You really have no idea of what the activities will be once the ship sails so when you pick a time and place you will be excluding several cruisers who want to plan Bingo, or go to a TEA, or do Jeopardy, do the Blackjack or Slot Tournaments, etc. It will all be listed in the Fun Times distributed the night before.

hmm. good points to think about.

We were actually thinking of doing it around 3 at aft bar before sailaway... assuming everyone will be on the ship. Our biggest hurdle is that our first sea day is day 3 and I'm afraid that's too late. We've done a sea day M&G before that turned out great but is was on Day 2.
