Sun Price Increase

Incredible ! Our Jan.'15 Sun 7-day is now up to $1100. PP for a balcony cabin. The price has remained $300-350. cheaper on other travel sites, however. Any clues as to why this is? Thanks. steve

One NCL Needler (membername Got Tequila?) explained here on another thread that NCL's site has two prices that update independently of each other, one is the "outside" price that is shown as a generic "from"-price for the cruise and is updated once a day and another one is the actual price that can only be seen after selecting cabin/passengers/etc and that is always the correct one and updated possibly several times per day as the computers and bean counters change the prices.

 

This might be one explanation of the price has just changed on NCL's site but not on TA sites.

Thanks, Demonyte, but I tried a "phantom booking" on the NCL site and the prices remained outrageous (comparable to RCI). steve

Re-read the earlier post. It is saying that NCL gets updated right away. The price you see on a TA site may not be the "final" price,yet.

Your not kidding about the price on our upcoming cruise Feb 8th our mini suites are now almost $1000 more. The funny thing is the one forward (front) mini is cheaper. Glad I book three months ago, we also got three dinners:D

We booked in March on the Sun for 1st February and got $800 OBC and the price went up

Our cruise in Feb on the Sun has gone up in price by quite a bit. Happy we booked early!

Our upcoming Pearl cruise has increased by $610 pp so booking early does have it's benefits:)
