Booking Excursions Online

I just booked Ruby to Alaska for the May 10, 2014 sailing. I've visited the Princess web site and the cruise planning section. I am signed in ( this will be my 4th Princess cruise) and when I go to the Excursion Reservations it takes me to my itinerary and says to select a port, however, there is no way to do that??

Do I have to wait a certain number of days before the cruise or after final payment to book or am I ding something wrong?

Excursions aren't available yet for that sailing. They usually open up a certain amount of time before sailing. Keep checking back. In the meantime, you can browse the general excursion info to see what might be offered.

 

You can also browse the Alaska boards. I spent a lot of time planning our Alaska cruises and used the Alaska boards to get a lot of helpful info.

Princess opens the excursions for booking usually 4 to 6 months before the sailing. They are probably still negotiating the 2015 prices with the vendors.

We cruised the British Isles last June and the Princess excursions were not available to book until January.

 

We also did several private excursions and booked those about 8 mos to 1 year in advance.
