Free Beverages and Tips?

Recommended Posts

Neither my hubby and I are big alcohol or pop drinkers, so arent buying beverage packages. So, when youre at the pool and order a lemonade or ice tea do you tip cash or is that part of the pre paid gratuity?

Thx for your responses.

If it's a drink for which there is a charge, a 15% tip is automatically added to your bill. Otherwise, the daily service charge covers the service.....unless...you wish to give that server maybe a buck or two occasionally. Strictly up to you. No right or wrong.

I don't know that the DSC covers drink servers. Isn't that why they add the auto-gratuity to a drink tab? If you're not paying, and therefore there is no gratuity, I think you should tip a buck or two.

Servers are part of the DSC. They frequently, throughout the day, work other jobs on the ship also. I do tip servers $1 for each round of drinks delivered. However, that's an optional individual choice, and not an expectation.
