golfpccc Posted October 17, 2014 #37 Share Posted October 17, 2014 How is traditional dining being handled? Has the dining room been petitioned off into separate restaurants? We will be on the Oasis in Jan before Dynamic Dining goes into effect.

campbell51 Posted October 17, 2014 #42 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Having got off Oasis in Rotterdam I am very interested in all the changes after dry dock. Great review looking forward to more coming
Kcjarvis Posted October 17, 2014 Author #43 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Sorry for the delay. The suite lounge has free cocktails from 11am - 8pm. Between that and the jet lag, it's slowing down the review. Also, I didn't sleep well last night due to the angry seas in the Bay of Biscay. I hope to be all caught up by Sunday. Anyway back to the review: After the muster, I caught a few pics of the changes. Here is the old Diamond Lounge on 6. Here is the new Kate Spade I then headed to deck 4 behind the Aqua, to watch sail away. We would be backing down the river for about 40 mins, until we got to a wide enough area to do a 180 and head out. It seems like all of Rotterdam turned out to see us off... Kcjarvis Posted October 17, 2014 Author #45 Share Posted October 17, 2014 While backing out, we passed the Rotterdam. It was pretty cool when she started blowing her horn to salute us. People were lined up all the way down the river to see the mighty Lady O Finally to a wider part of the river Let's try out those new bow thrusters and azipods

Kcjarvis Posted October 17, 2014 Author #48 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Now heading straight, we continued down the river for another hour. Now heading to Southampton at 21 knots. We headed to Dazzles to hang out. After Dazzles, we headed to Guest Services to inquire about the Back to Back procedure, since we didn't receive a consecutive cruiser letter in our room. The agent told us we could continue to use the same sea pass cards...Wrong. We were changing from a D7 balcony, to a Crown Loft Suite. She then said we would have to exit the ship and check in in Southampton....WRONG!!!!! I politely explained to her what the normal B2B procedure was and asked her, why would this cruise be any different. After her song and dance, I less politely asked to speak with the Guest Services Manager. The agent quickly disappeared to the back. After 10 mins she came back and said, if we come back to Guest Services in the morning and pick up our new cards. We were pretty aggravated at this point, but said ok and headed back to the cabin for bed. Since eating always makes you feel better, we decided we would get room service. We ordered our food on the interactive TV. After about an hour we called to get a status - insert sinister music - ROOM SERVICE WAS CLOSED!!!!!!!! The compass said it was 24 hours, but they were closed. We called Guest Services and they transferred us to the voice mail, that said ROOM SERVICE WAS CLOSED!!!!!!!! And this is the RCCL Flagship??????? We decided to just go to bed. Tomorrow would be a better day...
Kcjarvis Posted October 17, 2014 Author #49 Share Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) We woke up sailing into foggy Southampton. Got dressed and headed back to Guest Services. The place was a mad house, with all the 1 day cruisers trying to settle their cash accounts. After about 20 mins, we were finally seen by an agent. Luckily, she knew want to do (or so we thought) and she gave us our new cards. She even called housekeeping to have our luggage moved. Our confidence in the RCCL Flagship was now restored....for now. We went to Chops for breakfast which is being used for D and above. Our plan was to take the train to London for the day. Edited October 17, 2014 by Kcjarvis error
