Beds on Island Prrincess

I've read that the beds on Princess range from OK to awful and somewhere in between. How would you describe them, and will Island Princess be getting new beds?

Just sailed on the island....our bed was great......firm but not too firm....the pillows were excellent....best we have ever had....We were on Baja deck inside cabin....

Every Princess ship I've sailed on in the last few years has had a pillowtop mattress, including the Island, Star, Diamond, Sapphire, Crown and Royal in balcony and oceanview cabins. Very comfortable.

We were on the Island last month (Baja mini suite) and the bed was very comfortable. No complaints at all and we used to be among those who always requested an egg crate in advance of a cruise.

How bad -or good - are the sofa beds in the mini suites for the third person?

Had hard mattress on the Island on a Caribe deck balcony last month but yes, the pillows were great.

We were on the Island earlier this month in a Caribe Balcony room and both ny husband and I thought the bed was great. Slept wonderfully. Pillows were good too.
