Norovirus question

The ship takes its normal itinerary and does a special cleaning at the next turnaround port. Onboard there will be some unique rules, mostly involving the non-use of communal serving utensils, salt and pepper shakers and the propping open of public bathroom doors so that handles are less used communally.

Unless their illness is extremely severe (beyond usual noro, or with complications) passengers are confined to their rooms for a few days until symptoms clear. Special cleaning teams or routines are assigned to their room for the duration of symptoms.
