In their new television commercial, the funnel is intact with a similar "C" to Costa's. Perhaps that is for Celebration Now?

Prices are from $149 per person plus port charges. That means that an inside cabin is $300 per couple plus $170 in port charges, plus $30 two night Parking at the Port, plus an additional $50 total ($12.50 per day/per person) for gratuities. Total $550.00 for two. That seems pricey for a 2 night trip.

We are on the Carnival Victory in a couple of days for a 5 night journey that we booked just this last minute, and it is $411.00 total for two people including port taxes. Gratuities will add another $120.00. So essentially the same price but for 5 nights. Parking at the port of Miami is another $100.

Summary of Carnival Booking for January 10, five night sailing:

Cruise Charges

Cruise Rate $100.00 $100.00 $200.00

Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses $105.84 $105.84 $211.68

Optional Charges

Vacation Protection ? $0.00

Add $0.00

Add $0.00

Total Charges $205.84 $205.84 $411.68

Balance Paid In Full

Onboard Credit $100.00

$550 for two night inside cabin on Celebration.

$630 for five night for Balcony Cabin on Carnival Celebration.

If it were a 3 night on Celebration with a Sea Day, then it would be worth it, in my opinion.

Wow, that is pretty steep for only a two-nighter. Their niche has been offering affordable pricing, I guess I'll be looking for specials.

  • 2 weeks later...

Drove past the port today, her funnel is painted white where the yellow was. They still have the "C" painted blue. She sails next week. I would imagine they would finish her logo before that. The whale tail remains.:D

Where did you see that? Website looks like a funnel to me.

Which one are you looking at? On BahamasParadiseCruise there's no funnel.

Oh yes I see what you mean. But that is just an artist's rendering of the ship. I know that the website is constantly under construction. They said they would have the deck plans up on the site by this week.

It certainly looks a bit odd without the whale tail, which in my opinion, I think that Carnival and the Whale Tail Signature of the ship was removed in the picture until a new one can be installed. It would not have mattered on Costa or Iberia as they are both owned by Carnival Corporation. So the removal of the Whale Tail in advertising is a positive move so folks don't think that Carnival has anything to do with Bahamas Paradise Grand Celebration Cruise Lines (Or what ever it's called)

By the way, had an awesome time on The Carnival Victory 5 night, and thought the ship was older, it was well maintained, the food was delicious and the service was spectacular. The shows were good, but the best part about the shows on The Victory, is that there is still was a live orchestra and not canned music. Although the shows were cheesy and corny, it was fun. I won $300 in the casino in their daily draw unexpectedly, one morning. I was just passing thru and put ten dollars in a machine using my card, and low and behold I heard my name. I won the drawing because I just happened to have my card in a machine and the computer picked me. That was cool. For five nights, the whole cruise cost us $411.00 total for two, and then I won $300 so it cost $111.00. That, was fabulous.

We are looking at mid February or March to sail on The Grand Celebration. I will let everyone know the dates if you can join us!

Good for you. $111 for a 5 day cruise sounds good to me.

GrandCelebration.com = no funnel

Billboard on 95 in Delray Beach = funnel

The funnel DOES house the diesel exhausts so common sense says SOMETHING must be there...

I am *tentatively* scheduled to be in Palm Beach right next to the port this Friday 1/30 for some business and if so I will look to see what it is.

I saw that billboard too! But the new commercial (Long Version) does not show the funnel. It's kinda weird.

went past the port and they are doing a great job cleaning her up. She is freshly painted and they are just finishing the logo on the funnel. The whales tail isn't going anywhere. I took a couple of pictures but I m still trying to post to this website. I was able to put it up on Instagram and Facebook. Yup it won't let me load the picture, sorry guys.

Ok. I can help if you have posted the pics on Facebook. Really easy.

1. Have the Post Reply window open here on Cruise Critic.

2. Open a new window and go to FB

3. Find the picture on FB you want to share on Cruise Critic.

4. Right Click your mouse on the Picture and scroll down to "Copy".

5. Click on "Copy".

6. Go to the Cruise Critic Window.

7. Write what you want to say about the picture you will be posting.

8. Hit "enter" so the cursor is on the next line on the left margin.

9. Right Click your mouse and scroll down to "Paste"

10. Click "Paste"

11. Voila, your picture is in the Post Reply Box then hit Post.

Your picture will come on the site full size and not the downloaded mini version that no one can really see.

It's easy.

Heading 95 south today in lake worth on the left was a digital billboard with a blue funnel. Directly across the road was a traditional billboard with a yellow funnel. Thought that was amusing. Was not able to go to the port today but 90% should be there tomorrow [emoji51]
