"GC" cruise fares: Hmmm...

Recommended Posts

I had a good chuckle with "The Romance Cabins."

Jerome just corrected me. They were not called The Romance Cabins, they were known as "THE RHUMBA CABINS". Romance, Rhumba, sort of the same thing, they go together well, especially when the anchor drops, the cabins would Rhumba, Rhumba, Rhumba.

I hope they continue Groupon deal?

Me too. I used to always see them on the Bahamas Celebration, but I didn't have family down there, so 2 days was stupid to me.

But now I do, and I would jump at the chance for all of us to cruise together!

Where can you find them if they do have them?

We just received today a 3 Night Casino Promo for Resort World Bimini, probably because DH games with NCL Casinos at Sea and they are owned by the same company - $128 if you stay on ship, $200 if you get a beach front apartment to use. They are going to have 2, 3, and 4 night cruises starting at $88. It won't be long before you see 59,79, 99 fares on this ship. We have family there. May be worth trying.

Yup! Here goes the price wars. I had Casino Slot Player friends who took the Bimini Superfast and stayed at the Resorts World for two nights who also did the Bahamas Celebration a couple of times. The liked both equally, however, the only game changer for them was the super long waits in Customs at Palm Beach. In Miami, they said they just waltzed off the ship. I guess It's a matter of price point and time.

Indeed. Customs at West Palm is insane. They won't send enough agents.

How do you get on a mailing list?

I got the email too. It is a promotional rate for previous guest's who have traveled on The Bahamas's Celebration ship. It's good for Category 6 or 7, and is a savings of at least $180 per person over the current prevailing rates. This is a good deal, for a cabin (although they are mostly all the same size whether inside or outside) on a higher deck.

I can't publish the email as it would be considered solicitation of travel from Cruise Critic. But the rate is "Celebration Thank You" that you request on the phone. Not good for Valentine's Day Sailings.

i received the same email. Don't like the ocean in February. But I had previously booked in December and I just received my confirmation on the new ship and they discounted $100 as a courtesy. I sail on May 20 on the Vallee deck. Going to the port now to take close up look.:)

Went to the port. They are cleaning her up here in Palm Beach. There were guys painting her hull a bright white. I was told the funnel stays the same (not so sure) for now. As I was taking pictures and talking to the security people, there were marketing type people going in and out of the ship. Apparently I wasn't the only one that thought she needed a little TLC. They have to fix the gangway because it doesn't conform to this ship. Going over the bridge she certainly looks bigger than the BC and you can tell that she just fits in her slip. You can tell everyone is excited to keep their jobs and love the ship. I was hoping to go into the terminal to get a closer look but that was locked down tight. I am going try to figure how to post these pictures. Anymore question?

To easily post pictures, what I do is first, send them to my FB page. Then on my page, I click on the picture, then "Right" click the picture, then click "Copy" Picture. Then go to the post screen here and then Right" click again and click "Paste". Voila. You can do that only 5 times per post.

The other way is to send them to your desk top and open them on the desk top, one by one, then "Right" click, "Copy", then on this page "Right Click", then "Post".

The "Thumbnail" download on cruise critic only gives tiny photos to open.

Hope this helps.

I guess I am not such a great photographer:( Okay that is all I got for now. Sorry I didn't take these with a camera, just my ipad and unfortunately the resolution stinks.

The photos are very very good. No worries. Thank you so much for going to the port to get them.

This is exciting.

We are currently on The "Hopefully" Sailing status on Inaugural Sailing of The Grand Celebration on February 1st. The back up dates are on February 21st, then we will sail again on February 27th. Looking forward to the dual sailings in February. We are only doing two of the three dates.

We have left February open for sailing on The Grand Celebration. We will be cruising next week on The Carnival Victory, then in February on The Grand Celebration twice, then The Celebrity Equinox for the sold out "JW and Jerome's Adventures Part 2" (over 200 cabins, our biggest yet, gosh everyone loves to cruise with us!).

(By the way, we were just on the Equinox this past November with over 300 folks in our "Adventures" and we thought that was big).

Next up, we sail on The Norwegian Getaway in June, and spend the summer in our pool at the house. Then in September, our cruise season starts all over again with The Oasis of The Seas, and then October we are on The Celebrity Infinity for another Official "JW and Jerome's Adventure Cruise" which has already 130 cabins sold.

See "The Adventures" are part of our Children's Charity organization, Christmas House Charities, Inc. Celebrity Cruises is a sponsor of our Port Saint Lucie Christmas House and Celebrity Cruises donates $100 per cabin sold, as part of "The Adventures", and that goes directly to the organization. Plus, Celebrity Cruises is so generous and donates several cruises to us each year to raffle off.

Our house is decorated with 67 Christmas Trees inside and this year, over 15,000 folks came inside our home to see the Florida Wonderland we created. This was our 13th year and we do this for 5,000 under served children right here in our community. There is No greater joy we have ever experienced, than to personally distribute tens of thousands of toys to disadvantaged children each year. We were seen on ABC World News Tonight, locally on NBC and CBS. In every newspaper as well. What a great event this year!

Come and see the spectacle next year!

Here is one of the quick videos of the house:

Nice! Remind us next year. Port St Lucie isn't that far from Boca.
