Well, it's been an action-packed month, but I think we've found the perfect cruise for our group: the Celebrity Equinox next July!

Departing from:

Sailing to:

Great cruise line, very nice ship, decent itinerary. So now you need to figure out how to beg, borrow, or steal extra money and time and do that cruise back-to-back. When done as a 14 day cruise you get to add places like Istanbul, Santorini, and Kusadasi! In fact, we think the back to back is such a good itinerary we might consider it....despite having been to all those places more then once.

I would LOVE to extend our trip (and am not ruling it out) but want to start planning on the most likely scenario. You make a good point about airfare and jet lag. I think we have agreed to add an extra day before and after in the beginning and end port cities. So we're up to 9!

You would be better off adding the two days to the front end and see Rome if you want to see Rome. Three days would be the best.

I don't think I would start a cruise from port close to Rome and not see Rome.
