jtsongas Posted February 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2015 For those who are members of Royal Caribbean's Casino Royale, just today I learned that although the changes expected after March 15, 2015 are still happening, those with a rebate pending on their account, you will now have through March 15, 2016 to use the rebate. This is nice to know for those of us that may have otherwise lost a rebate. Also, I was literally just informed (was on the phone as I am writing this) that the earning of rebates will continue through the new 2016 date. This was/is being conveyed to the Casino Royale team today (2/10/2015).
Life is Good Cruising Posted February 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2015 I also spoke to CR today and was advised their new program will not go into effect until 3-15-2016 and not 3-15-2015. Like you said, changes are coming and the cash rebates will remain in effect and continue until their new program starts on 3-15-2016. An email will be mailed out to their VIP members shortly explaining the new effect date of this change, I am very happy :):):D
wolfganghowell Posted February 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Can you explain the rebate? We were invited in on our last cruise and even though the casino host told us we would be getting documentation regarding the program benefits, we've never received anything. I did call and received our ID #'s and our TA is waiting to hear about our discounted rate on our next cruise. Other than the free drinks and waiver of cash fee, I don't know what the other benefits are and seem to have no way to find out since they don't even have a website with info and can't email or snail mail a list of potential benefits. Smiley4 Posted February 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Wolfganghowell, Call club royale at 8885612234 and they will answer any questions you might have and make sure all your contact information is updated to see what offers are available to you. Going forward, this is the only RCCL number you will use. Guard it, store it, write it down. Anything you need, they will handle. Welcome to the Club. itching2cruiseagain Posted February 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2015 I just spoke with Club Royale. They did confirm rebates will be earned through March 15, 2015 to be used (as cash rebate or payment towards a cruise) by March 15, 2016. This affects us as we are sailing March 8-15, 2015. He said we will benefit under the old system (cash rebate) as well earning on that cruise for the tier ranking under the new system. The new system was described as "Prestige and Recognition" for players. I was told some of the benefits will be priority embarkation and debarkation, more onboard comps (such as, shore excursions, spa treatments, specialty dinners, etc.). Also mentioned was personalized comps, they will offer comps tailored to what they believe you like. We have gotten great room rates, good rebates and numerous comps under the old system. Hope the new system is even better. We should get the email today or tomorrow. Will post when I have more info.

The new program goes into effect on the original date. The difference is the rebates will be valid for one more year. Here is a specific sentence from an email sent to me confirming what we talked about on the phone: "The new program will be a tier-based program, and the evaluation period of April 2014 through March 2015 will be used to provide initial tier levels." tomko2 Posted February 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Great thread. I had figured any rebate from our January cruise was a lost cruise as our next cruise isn't until early April. Happy to hear the news.:)
