Enjoying this very much!

Can you tell me more about the Metromover? We are staying at the Intercontinental downtown so fairly close to it and Bayside. I just where else it may go to worth checking out since I have been to Bayside before.

Also, is the Chef's table adult only?

Hello Mirrasi,

Thanks for commenting. Unfortunately i did not get a chance to use the Metromover. I understand it is a kind of tram on rails - a free service that operates in the downtown area. Bayside would probably be where I would have gone. There will be a map online that you can check for other places of interest located near to the stops that it serves.

I do not know for certain about Chef's Table and children. My suspicions would be that it would not be suitable for younger children. Whether there is a specified minimum age I just don't know. The other thing that occurs to me is it is really quite expensive if you are not taking advantage of the copious quantities of wine that flows...:)

Kind regards

I'm following. Never been on Norwegian but looking at an itinerary on the Spirt. So I'm interesting to see food porn and your opinion.

Thanks Kfoot,

Lots of food photos to come. Hope my review gives a flavour of NCL. The Spirit is a smaller and older ship so may not have all the bells and whistles. It does have many passnegers who like it all the more...

We are considering taking the Metrorail to Hampton from the airport. Is there an easy walking route from the main airport to the station or buses that run between the airport and train station? If not, I wonder if it would be possible to take a car rental shuttle?

Hello WoodsDrive,

If you are going from Miami Airport to Hampton Inn at Brickell (there may be other Hampton Inns), then you are in luck, because it couldn't be easier and I have just tested that it works fine.

At Miami Airport itself you look for the MIA Mover, which is basically a free shuttle tram that runs back and forth to Central Station, where the Car Rental Centre is also located. At Central Station look for the Metrorail line and buy a $2.25 ticket from the machine. Staff are on hand to help.

Board the train in the rearmost coach and alight after seven stops at Brickell Station. As you exit the train the elevator is right there and takes you to street level. On exit make an about turn and head back up that road for about a hundred yards. Watch for the hotel accross the street.

I have a very strange 9 year old who is more of a foodie than I am. Actually, I am not one at all since I am happy with burgers and mac n cheese, lol. He likes mussels, rare meats, sushi, lamb, etc. He would absolutely love something like that. Noting his interests, I am trying to encourage it.

And since he And he's a very well behaved, somewhat introverted kid, adults tend to fawn over him. But I imagine this event would be adult only. Probably the last thing anyone would want is to pay $99 for a meal and have kids being kids there. I just couldn't find any info online.
