Hi! I was just wondering how long it usually takes to debark the ship without a passport. We will be bringing our birth certificates and ids. We also plan to just take our carry on bags instead of a big suit case. Thanks for your help!

We just got home yesterday (I'll be posting a review shortly) but I can tell you this - My son and I took two carry-ons and one suitcase - we left the suitcase outside of our room the last night, it was brought down to customs for us yesterday morning. It wasn't clear that we were supposed to go grab it before getting in the line, they are off behind the line queue so you don't really know whats going on until you get around the first bend...

We were in the main customer service area at 9:30, they didn't let us off until 10, and after waiting in line for what seemed like forever, we finally were out of the terminal around 11:15.

We used birth certificates and ID's. If you have or are able to get a passport before your cruise, I would recommend it. People with US passports and people in wheelchairs had separate queues and were given priority.
