SecondComing Posted April 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2015 I would like to know if anyone has an update for us ? I'm thinking the first voyage out from drydock is now underway...........So, new carpets? Fresh paint ? Anything ????
CruiserBruce Posted April 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2015 As has been discussed elsewhere, the Z will be getting the extra deck or two of cabins and the Retreat Cabanas. Other than that, I would expect carpets, paint and furnishings above the water line.

Other than that, I would expect carpets, paint and furnishings above the water line. The most recent Westerdam drydock changed up some room decor (not just refreshed, but NEW) in the staterooms and suites. As Zuiderdam is older I would certainly hope it's been given the same. It's time for the Vista's to get a refresh and move out of the almost "technicolor" stateroom decor they started out with

Stevero2 Posted April 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Some time ago, there were concerns about the a/c in the cabins. Still a problem? Would that be addressed in dry dock?
Stratheden Posted April 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2015 We cannot use the Crows Nest for a few days because the work has not been finished on the new cabins. We have been nicely compensated for the inconvenience. There are new carpets in lots of public areas, the Vista Dining room has new chairs and the ship is lovely and clean - beautiful navy and white - it is sparkling. I am sure our cabin has new drapes at the window. We have enjoyed our meals in the dining room. They are superb for breakfast, lunch and dinner.- we haven't cruised for two years and we believe the food in Lido has deteriorated so much we won't eat there. Any chance of a few pictures that you could share of some of the more notable differences? Interested to see what the dining room looks like now. Thanks in advance! That's interesting as we just disembarked after 15 days aboard, just prior to the drydock and though the Lido food was the best in over 50 cruises. c-legs Posted April 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 23, 2015 We cannot use the Crows Nest for a few days because the work has not been finished on the new cabins. We have been nicely compensated for the inconvenience. What else is new....?:( Never fails; schedule drydock for ## of days...always insufficient for the work to be done, continue during first (and at times 2nd...) post-drydock sailing, inconvenience guests, incur expenses, aggravate some guests, ect ect ect,.......All lines are guilty of this and it's getting ''old''. Instead of enjoying the Crow's nest, a topshelf iconic venue, guests are turned away from a construction zone !!!
