My March 29 cruise got cancelled. Of course it was a Casino Royale comp, except for my cash part. Here is part of an email from Casino Royale:

"Unfortunately, at this time, we are not extending, or reactivating, Club Royale offers on cancelled bookings."

Well that kind of stinks. So I just lost a cruise sailing that I played in the casino to get. I didn't cancel it. YOU cancelled it.

FWIW

You'll get more I wouldn't sweat it.  They just can't right now because they are shutdown for 30 days AT LEAST.

Heaven only knows what the insiders will do. That was my PRIME spring break cruise. They have not heard the last from me. LOL

That's not always true.  I had two comped cruises canceled with instant certificates earned on 2 cruises.  I spend thousands on both of those cruises, I know that was my choice.  The email offers I get are $400 off cruises that are always from Florida, and I don't fly.  Nothing near my comped instant certificates.

I hope you got good info.

I will give them a few days to let the dust settle from all the call ins. I have 2 more already booked. I could get "cold feet", and back out..

Hi Gayle, yes you can't count on anything with RCCL.

We also had two comped cruises (b2b) cancelled.  One was a JS we upgraded to for $300 and the other was a JS for just taxes and fees.  I doubt I will see them replaced.

Irony of this entire situation is I got a mailer today offering me a free balcony on my choice of about 8 - 10 sailings ranging from 7 - 12 nights in April and May in Europe.  I really don't see that happening!!  Obviously, the mailers were planned and printed weeks ago but you would think they could have stopped the mailing.

I have not heard or seen that anywhere.  In fact Club Royale said they absolutely will not extend them.  I earned mine last year and it had to be used by March 31 so i had one scheduled for this Friday and they said i would just lose it.  I earned this and it cost me quite a bit to do so last year!

I also read that they were going to add it back along with the new Prime cruise in April for those that were canceled by Royal. (Not if you canceled) It's supposed to show up on your list in April, along with the new cruise for next year.

I'm annoyed because 2 of my comped instant cruises are not being reissued, and it looks like my 2 in May I'll also lose.  I spent thousands on each of the 4 cruises to earn the instant certificates for those cruises. At least double, if not more, what the free cruise was worth. I would be happy to get a FCC to use on another cruise.

I just re-read that email they sent me. No mention of replacing the PRIME cruise they canceled. I just eamiled them again. See if they report anything different.

Bummer on getting those comp cert cruises canceled and not replaced. Just stay after them. Nothing to lose but time, and your nerves messing with them.

I sent email to Club Royale pointing out that the cruise they canceled was my PRIME benefit. Here is an excerpt from their reply:

" Unfortunately our team can only advise we are not extending offers at this time."

Say I just saw an interview with Jon Wamba of RCCL casinos. He says phone in to casino Royale by end of May to get the March PRIME that was cancelled re-booked. I don't know how far out you can book. Maybe March 31, 2021 ?

I will phone in after my wife's doc visit coming mid-week.

Let me know how it goes if you call in.

I saw that too.  I used my SIgnature tier cruise back in August. What I have is 2 cruises that were canceled that I used an instant balcony certificate for that I earned on 2 sailings.  Probably 2 more that I have booked for May will also be canceled.  I felt what he kept referring to was people that booked through UR Comped.  I'm going to wait until they decide what is happening with my 2 May cruises before I call, and hopefully have a better idea when they might be sailing again.  If they let me book replacement cruises, I don't want to book one that has a good chance of being canceled again.

Casino chick I don’t have that one, but I was getting both carnival and royal snail mail about twice a week and I haven’t gotten one since March 13 when I received one from Royal for the Odyssey .  I booked that one for January 2021. I thought that was far enough out.  Have a cruise booked for October that I hope goes. Not only because of the cruise, but that this craziness gets over quickly.  I’m not a stay at home person!  Our March 15 cruise was canceled 2 days before we were to leave, but I had canceled 2 days before that.  I’m sure many were already in Florida ready to cruise by the time it was canceled.

Just canceled again. Now my May 9 cruise. Royal says resume operations May 12.

Have to remember that many of the Royal ships are away from FL this time of year, doing transatlantics & then Europe thru the summer, just like Princess. So maybe it makes sense that they need to cancel for the 2 months now.

Royal has always seen Club Royale as a necessary evil.  Even with the “old” program, they did little to promote it and the rules were always hidden away and never discussed openly.  It was only by accident that I even knew that there were casino rates !  It was years before I even thought about getting any kind of casino discount on a cruise.  I would have never known if a friend hadn’t told me.

I imagine the bean counters are having knock-down-drag-outs with casino program folks about this upcoming casino year “rules”.  They have gotten progressively worse (for the player) since the new program began and I fear this year’s discounts will be worse, yet.  They will have to decide whether they want to encourage casino players - a source of REAL profit - by giving attractive program incentives or limit the incentives to increase the very beleaguered bottom line. I suspect the trend will continue of decreasing the discounts on suite upgrades while offering more of the useless $$ off certificates. I guess we’ll know soon.

Got an offer today for comped cruise for 2 for Sept - Dec dates. Only exclusion is holiday weeks. I waited on hold for an hour with Club Royale before I gave up and submitted online for a cruise in Oct/Nov. I will call back to add my daughter another time when I have a few hours to kill on hold.

I’ve been reading about this on another site.  What is the offer code ?  I didn’t get an email but both my husband and myself have an offer code 20RBO103
