Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

The last time I cruised with Royal was January 2019, and I never even booked my "annual" cruise (that was supposed to be taken by 3/31/20), so I was scheduled to lose all my casino status on 3/31/20.

Will my old status now be extended??  I noticed on my offer page that my "annual" cruise benefit (which I would have lost) now has an expiration date of 3/31/21 - but what about my tier status?

I received an email an hour ago from Club Royale indicating that everyone’s 2019-2020 club status is being extended until March 31, 2022 and also if your 2019 “free” cruise was cancelled or if you were otherwise unable to take it, it has been extended until March 31, 2021.  So you should be able to book your free Prime Cruise plus keep your Prime status until 2022.  Pretty awesome !

That would be great!  😁 (I'm Signature so I hope they leave me at that level!)

Me too.  I was Signature until March 31, 2020 and was about 2,000 short of Signature for the upcoming year.  So the way I read it, I get to stay at Signature for two years. Hope that is correct.

That’s what they did, and they should do something extra for the ones who did make it to their tier level.  I know a few people like some above that did not cruise at all last year and BINGO they are rewarded.  I did push myself to maintain my level and now it was for nothing. 😤😤

Don’t you get to keep it for two years?

Please don't ever gamble to maintain or reach a loyalty tier level.  There is NO tier benefit worth that (not even a "free" cruise) and it plays right into the marketing strategy of the casinos who only want your money (and could care less about you.)

I LOVE to gamble and I play and enjoy it.  Until I've had enough.  I could care less what my tier level is (especially with Royal who - in comparison - to other cruise lines - doesn't even have good perks.)

Don't get caught up in the points game, it's a losing bet.

My wife had an offer code 20RBO104. I am sure that was inside. What I don't know is the FREE PLAY amount. Does anyone here have that ? Also to actually get your FREE PLAY while on the ship. Does it have to show on the reservation confirmation ?

I called into Casino Royale about 7 30PM  CDT and got an answer, but line disconnected. Phoned in again, and got a person for booking a new cruise. Line/conversation was awful for 5 minutes. Then the internet digital packet loss and delay cleared up. I got one cruise booked.

If there is Free Play with the offer, it is listed on the offers page with your offer.  My daughter got the same offer and there is no free play included. Not all the 20RBO offers had freeplay.

If you have any free play with your offer it will be a line item on you booking invoice under cruise fare and be something like this TBB8-FP100 hope this helps

Thanks. I had that on one resv. My other resv, that was also a FREE PLAY. The code does not show. I guess here goes another call.

I just booked using the summer offer (Symphony in August).  The Agent told me that since we combined mine and my husband’s offers (each had $150 free play) that would get $300 in free play.  The line TBB-FP has 150.  Ugh. I sent her an email to look into it.  She was the one who confirmed we would both get the free play...

Strange. I checked her clubroyale offers last night, and this morning. The offer was gone. I just checked again and the offer was back. It had $50 FREE PLAY.

My daughter had the summer offer (20RFO104) with $50 OBC, but the fall offer(20ROB104) didn't have OBC.

Going through wife's email dated April 8. I found the notice about casino levels being extended. I never got that email.

Between offers and emails. Getting some, not getting others. It is hard to keep this stuff straight.

Thanks Gayle and Happy Easter, Good Friday.

Another month lost. yet another cancel for me. I did get through to the casino no problem today. However Miami announced yesterday a 26% layoff in reservations. Our Prime etc for 2020 have not been loaded. Should be mid-May. Then the bad news :

Our most recent plan was to resume some operation May 12, 2020. However, after consulting with our partners at Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the CDC, our global suspension has been extended another month. Unfortunately, all sailings departing on and before June 11th, 2020 will be cancelled, and we plan to resume operation on June 12th.

The 30 days to June 11th was pretty much a forgone conclusion.  RCCL indicated they are going 30 days at a time.  I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one or likely two more 30 day periods that will take us into July or August.  They are still dealing with CDC travel bans and restrictions and it could take at least two weeks or more to restaff the ships with crew members who are by now scattered all over the world and possibly limited as to their ability to travel.  The entire situation is a big mess that won't be fixed overnight.  I'm betting I will see Vegas or a different land casino long before I am back onboard a ship.  And then there is the issue of getting a doctor to sign a "fit to travel" letter if you are 70 or over.  Not many doctors will want to sign and take on the potential liability if you were to get sick onboard.

Hopefully we will see this changed.  I only have a year before this will affect me.  It already affects my husband. A signed waiver like the wave pool , etc. would be okay.

My doctor signed our letters in March. It was not an issue with him. In my case, I am not yet drugged.

With cancellation of my end of May cruise. Plus waiting on CC credit for 3 other cruises. Plus 3 still booked. Not sure I will book any for a while. This end of May cancellation looks like another refund request.

I also wonder if air travel will have to resume before they can do any sailings ?

Just a casual observation on travel. Most folks out of Galveston do drive. I know as far away as Missouri. Yet some do have to fly. I have met them too.

It sure is strange to track those ships of all lines just parked in the Gulf, usually off Galveston.

I don't know about the Casino group. I phoned in today to change the cancelled May 23 to to June 20. Same everything. They would not do it. It seems strange to me. Said I no longer had a "good offer". Do I need a "good offer" for a sailing you cancelled ? So now I am up to  4 refunds they owe me. I am not getting a good vibe over this mess.

I further inquired about the cancelled March prime cruise. Jon Wamba had previouly said FP or OBC would added to those re-issued offers. The rep said nothing was added to the cancelled prime cruise offer, but offer is in system. The 2020  perks have not been loaded yet.

I lost 4 cruises that had instant certificates on.  I spent thousands on each of the cruises to earn the certificates.  All have been lost.  I haven't received any of the new offers either.  All my offers are currently expired.

Yes I do recall you saying that previously. Bummer. I did get a cert on my January cruise. I booked it as far out as I could which was Oct 25. The wife and I just discussed this a few days ago wanting to change date to Nov. 1. I phoned in about that yesterday. NOPE same everything but 1 week later. NOPE. So for now I still have that Oct sailing booked, and 2 others.

I got a new offer emailed to me. 20CCS104. Does anyone have any details on this ? I think it is a sailing to CoCo Cay.

I phoned Club Royale 2 hours ago. Some bull from Jamaica that the reps can not email the offer to the customer without supervisor approval. I waited on hold. The rep comes back and said supervisor would email the details in 10 mins. 2 hours ago.

That’s a new one for me.  I checked my offers this morning (nothing) but I think I will check again.

I hate it when I get one of those offshore agents.  Ugh
