My grandsons did it when they were eight. Loved it. It costs about $25 per child, and we signed up for it when we registered them in the kids club. The kids go with the chef to the galley for an afternoon and "make" a cake. They really just decorated one. They get a picture with the chef and a chef's hat and apron to keep. The cake is delivered to the table at dinner or to your stateroom.

3 of our grandchildren participated in it last year on the Golden. They LOVED it! The minimum age was 8. Ours were 8, 10, 12 yrs. of age. Our waiters brought their dessert creations into the dining room with great fanfare & applause! It was really memorable for them & us. Our grandaughter was signed up immediately when her Mom boarded, our 2 grandsons were put on a waiting list because they boarded an hour later and the class was full but they ended up adding another class later in the week and they were able to participate. I think the cost was around $25?
