apatchetear Posted August 10, 2015 #51 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Around $200 for both of the cruises I have been on so far. That includes gratuities because we book early saver and usually have some sort of obc to start with. Two people on first cruise and three on the second one. Minkster1973 Posted August 11, 2015 #52 Share Posted August 11, 2015 So, are you saying you placed all your winnings on your card? Hmmmm, I don't win in the casino, so that wouldn't work for me? Sent from my SM-G920T1 using Tapatalk That is exactly what I did. I only took money out at port, and I did no excursions. I had a blast walking around to different shops and taking silly pictures I would never get a chance to take at any other time. I don't need to spend extra money on excursions. There is so much to do at port.
rugbypopsie Posted August 11, 2015 #53 Share Posted August 11, 2015 I'm happy to do my own thing in ports within a reasonable distance or ones I am familiar with but when you fly across to the other side of the world to ports to which you may never see again..then I'll spend whatever it takes...rather than regret. Titan_Cruiser Posted August 11, 2015 #54 Share Posted August 11, 2015 Ours is usually $200-300 for the two of us. Our best were two cruise that Carnival actually cut us a check when we got off the boat. One we had so much OBC from price drops that we had about $75 left at the end of the cruise. The other time we got a check for $250 because we won bingo.

JLee1973 Posted August 11, 2015 #57 Share Posted August 11, 2015 I'm usually right around 1k but that is with Cheers and steakhouse. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
JennN Posted August 11, 2015 #58 Share Posted August 11, 2015 Ours has ranged - the highest was $1,400 when my MIL turned 60 - I bought every picture, we did the Steakhouse AND Chef's Table (both on us), drinks, souvenirs galore... The lowest it's ever been is about $300. Generally, it's about $500 between tips, drinks, casino and store purchases.

Thedesertrat Posted August 11, 2015 #60 Share Posted August 11, 2015 Normally it is under 200.00. We don't buy jewelry, art cameras. Maybe a drink every other day or so an excursion or two. Cruised over 25 years.
misterkevin Posted August 11, 2015 #61 Share Posted August 11, 2015 On my last seven day cruise on the Magic, my bill was $1800 for two. It included tips, $560 in drinks (no Cheers program), one massage, one excursion in Cozumel, plus we ate at the Chef's table once and the steakhouse twice. I don't gamble, and I don't buy in the shops. I wonder how many people with the extremely low S&S balances remove their tips or maybe prepay them? DHnDWplus2 Posted August 11, 2015 #62 Share Posted August 11, 2015 We typically skate in just under $1000 for a seven day cruise. Drinks, gratuities, and maybe steakhouse dinner Sent from my SPH-L710 using Forums mobile app
FunCruiser56 Posted August 11, 2015 #63 Share Posted August 11, 2015 Just returned from 12 night cruise, $63.43 that is our lowest tab ever. Pays to be Diamond for free drinks, blah sales/shops on the ship and $350 shipboard credit ;) Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
lido deck larry Posted August 11, 2015 #64 Share Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) I wonder if you get caught smoking if they'll put the $250 fine on your s&s account, or send you a bill in the mail. RaiderFaninNM Posted August 14, 2015 Author #65 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Wow, I am shocked at the cruisers that can cruise for under $500, wow....
eileen60 Posted August 15, 2015 #66 Share Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) We usually average $200 but I am not a drinker and tips are included in my tab. I have not had onboard credit. Seemed those deals just cost more up front. Also I prepay excursions. saltsandknit Posted August 15, 2015 #67 Share Posted August 15, 2015 We average around 600 but have been as high as 1000 we always have on board credit and we always get the cheers program for drinks. last cruise on the magic the final was
Jana60 Posted August 15, 2015 #68 Share Posted August 15, 2015 I usually purchase excursions separate from Carnival, I usually have some on board credit, and while I spend a large amount of money in the casino i gamble only with cash never on the card so my total balance is usually in the 200's or less. pbsteve Posted August 15, 2015 #70 Share Posted August 15, 2015 $0.00 pre paid all tips. has over 800 in OBC from price drops, Added cash I brought with me as needed, I went with a hard line budget, so the cash I had on day one was what was meant to last until I got home. had plenty left Total cash spent was around 400 between my wife and I, but like I said, we had over 800 in OBC

NoDayButToday Posted August 26, 2015 #73 Share Posted August 26, 2015 Last cruise on Pride we ended up with about $300 on the final bill- with tips, couples massage, a few drinks a day, steakhouse, photos, 1 soda card....we had over $300 in onboard credit and then put a bunch of our remaining cash on the account the last day. We were happy with it. This time around there will be no steakhouse and no couples massage, so it will probably be considerably lower. We just aren't big drinkers or gamblers so the money doesn't pile on too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
