New Current list of Cruise Directors (CD)

Is it too much to hope that Joff Eaton will return to the Indy when she comes back to the UK in May 2016?

I've heard from other CDs that they cannot stay with the same ship for more than 3 years, so while it is likely that Joff will get a European-based ship once Anthem repositions to NJ, he may not be able to go back to Indy. (It remains to be seen if the 3-year rule still holds if they've been on another ship in the interim. Maybe they can return after being away for a certain timeframe?)

I am on the cruise before you on Serenade, the Fall Foliage from Cape Liberty to Quebec. I hope we can find out who will be the CD before we go too! :-)

Have either of you considered writing to web_reservations@rccl.com to find out who the CD will be on your sailing? Their responses to these emails are notoriously inaccurate, but it's better than nothing, and this close to the handover date the info should be available.

Alternatively, maybe one of you could post on the roll call for the next sailing to see if anyone is willing to ask Topi and report back to us.

John Blair will likely be on break at that point (you're lucky if he will be on break, can't stand him) so it could maybe be Dennis.

A bit too early to know just know though.

Legend: Who is following Chris at the end of this month, and what is the exact date?

Radiance: Who is following Amy mid-September, and what is the exact handover date?

Serenade: Who is following Topi at the end of this month, and what is the exact date?

(It is likely too soon to find out about handovers due is October or later, so I didn't include them with this request)

Posted a message over on the roll call for the SR cruise departing tomorrow asking someone to ask Topi how long he will be on SR and who will be following him.

Allure OTS - Jerome Sueur May 19 for all of the European cruises thru Oct 25 then who?

Anthem OTS - Joff Eaton March 18 until September 15 Graham Seymour joins the ship on September 1 and will take over CD duties on September 15 until November 4, (then does Joff return, or will it be Luke Aerowsmith?)

Brilliance OTS - Steve Davis July 29 through September 3, then Clo O'Connor returns September 3

Enchantment OTS - Marc Walker July 20 through November 20. Marc will return from his break on Jan 18 until May 3 (when the ship moves to Miami) (who is covering Marc's break Nov 20-Jan 18?)

Explorer OTS - Tim Connor July 29 until sometime in November. Graham Seymour joins the ship sometime in November as its new permanent CD. need handover date

Freedom OTS - Jamie Fentiman June 7 until Aug 16, then Casey Peltier returns for 4 months

Grandeur OTS - Mitch Merucci April 28 until August 23 then Jeff Arpin Aug 23 until late-October. (Mitch will not be returning to GR after his break)

Independence OTS - Leigh Xuereb May 17 through September 6, then Ricky Matthews from Sept 6 for 2 months to cover Leigh's break. Leigh is expected to return at the beginning of November.

Jewel OTS - Dennis Charles July 17 for 3 months. John Blair expects to return from his break in mid-October.

Legend OTS - Chris Brown from the end of June until late August

Liberty OTS Dru Pavlov July 16 until November 1. (then who? Will Luke Aerowsmith be returning, or has he been reassigned to Anthem?)

That makes sense! We were guessing that he wouldn't stay with Anthem once it repositioned to NJ, and that he would move to one of ships that will be homeported in the UK. Indy moves back there on May 1, 2016. (tbc...to be continued)
