Luggage tag on a case of water?

New Orleans was always one of three ports for NCL that did not allow you to check drinks. There was a post quite some time back that someone did it, but I've never noticed any others. It was always an issue with the dock workers, not the cruise line. Best bet is to try but have a backup plan to carry them on. You will not be able to go to your cabin before about 1-2 pm.

I figured we would give it a try, slapped a luggage tag on a case of water, the porter took it, loaded it up with our luggage, and it was delivered to the suite. It was an hour after the rest of the luggage, so maybe it was checked for contraband.....

You are very fortunate that you can afford the "suite" life but not pay NCL 5.00 a day for a large bottle of water.
