Shrimp boil

There are not many places in or around the French Quarter that do good boiled seafood at a reasonable price.

Try the French Market Restaurant at the corner of Decatur and St. Peter. They boil whatever is in season. Shrimp are always available. Crawfish season starts in early Spring and peaks around Easter.

Agree that you aren't going to find good boiled seafood in the FQ. The crawfish this time of year are SMALL so if you aren't used to peeling them you are in for an exercise in frustration. I would look for places that serve fresh caught seafood that is well prepared. There are plenty of ways to serve great seafood other than boiled.
