Weight limit on wave runners at Great Stirrup Cay

We would like to do the wave runner excursion at GSC in March, but my husband is over the 225 lb. weight limit for a single rider (he's around 250-260 lbs. right now). If we pay for a double rider wave runner for him (listed as a 450 lb. combined weight limit) would he be able to go on that by himself? If not, my teenage son and him combined probably will squeak in under the 450 lb. limit if they went on the double together, but I'd like to know all our options. Thanks for any info.

You can book the double for a single rider just did that a few weeks ago.
