mid price hotels

I've stayed at Royal St. Charles a couple times. I have a friend who stays there everytime he goes to New Orleans. It's nice..only a couple blocks from Canal/Bourbon. Sometimes when I'm staying at other hotels downtown I'll still go get coffee at their PJ's and sit at the counter looking out at St. Charles street while I read the newspaper.

I'm assuming Q&C is Queen and Crescent. I've never stayed there but I've walked by it a lot. It's just a block over from Royal St. Charles and it's well reviewed.

Hotel Modern I've never stayed at but I've researched before it and found it to be well reviewed. I've never stayed there because It's not close to the French Quarter. It's always been a backup for me in case I couldn't get anything closer at a good price. It is very close to the WWII museum if you plan on going there.

I don't know anything about the other two hotels.
