Do any of you have a port stop scheduled for Princess Cays in January 2017?

We have three Caribbean sailings (8-8-6 days) in January. No port stops on any of them at Princess Cays.

While January isn't the best time of year to go to Princess Cays, there normally still are port stops?

The Advance Search feature on the Princess website allows you to search for cruises by specific ports of call. In January 2017 the 10 days cruises on Royal sailing January 9 and 19; and the seven day on Regal sailing the 15 and 29 all call at Princess Cays. The January 8 and 22 on Royal substitutes Amber Cove; the January 29 on Royal, Grand Turk. So passengers on a B2B on Royal or Regal do not get Princess Cays twice.

The alternating 8 day Southern/6 day Western itineraries on Caribbean Princess have no calls there all season. I imagine booking those B2B very popular as to how varied those new sailings are, but they are put together in a way that requires both to have both first and last days at sea, precluding Princess Cays.

LuLu, we were just talking about this last night. It certainly seems like Amber Cove takes precedence over Princess Cays on the Caribbean Princess sailings. Hard to know if that's a positive or not, being unfamiliar with the port as we all are. DH was just saying that Princess ought to be more actively advertising that new port on these Caribbean sailing with posters, etc. All we know of it is that Bernadette has mentioned it in our Captains Circle parties.

Thanks for the information that a couple of Princess ships will be making port stops at Princess Cays in January 2017. We've been there so many times a stop going again is of no importance to us but was just wondering.

You're right about the sailings on Caribbean Princess. There's also an 8 day Eastern -- perfect for a B2B or even a B2B2B. :)

We are leaving 1/6 for an Eastern (8 day) which goes as far down as Antigua and St. Kitts.

Staying on 1/14 for a Deep Southern (8 day).

Then on 1/22 for a Western (6 day) which in addition to Cozumel goes to Costa Maya and Belize.

Happily, we're in the same cabin for all three sailings. :)

We've noticed the same. While we don't have a port stop at Amber Cove, many do. Guess we'll soon be seeing reports back from those who have been.
