DeeDee1214 Posted March 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2016 We will be doing the 27 waterfalls tour while in Amber Cove in August (only doing 7 waterfalls). We have a waterproof pouch to keep on us for our S&S cards etc. but what about carrying water? We will be wearing life vests and will be fully submerged in water at times, so a backpack seems out of the question...any suggestions?
cb at sea Posted March 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Just carry a bottle of water in your hand... it doesn't have to go in the WATER with you while you're in the water!! Leave the water in whatever transportation you use! Take a drink before you start the waterfalls...and then when you're done, you can have another drink! By the way...your S&S cards, DL and even cash CAN get wet!!! Water won't hurt them!
RickT Posted March 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Go to your local sporting goods store and ask for a water bottle with a belt clip. It's basically a carabiner attached to the top of a water bottle and can clip to your swimsuit, belt, life vest, etc.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2016 We always take water with us; either bottled water or a container with water in it. Keith

Our 7 and 5 year old boys will be with us, so we'll definitely have to have water with us at all times, they're always thirsty lol! I'm pretty sure we're going to want to be hands free sliding down limestone waterfalls, so I don't know about carrying them...

Rare Keith1010 Posted March 28, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2016 You are welcome. We've used it the past couple of years and many people comment that they wish they had one. Keith

dsrdsrdsr Posted March 28, 2016 #11 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Something like this probably makes the most sense, thanks so much!! Wearing anything with a strap round your neck makes NO SENSE AT ALL when sliding down a waterfall. Thirst is less painful than strangulation. Rare Keith1010 Posted March 28, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 28, 2016 We've used it with a variety of bottle. We do prefer a standard bottle so we have a sufficient amount of water but we have also from time to time put a smaller bottle in it and it worked like a charm.
