Belle Posted May 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Come One Come All Climb Over That Wall (to weight loss) Stand on that scale and weigh Hope it goes your way You want to see it go down You don't want a frown How to have a loss is to eat right Sometimes some foods get us by sight Why is exercise so hard some days But so easy to sit and eat potato chips by Lays Some weeks are better than others in how we eat-we play games So some weeks we lose, gain or get lucky and stay the same Losing weight isn't easy, we need food to live and all the temptations We know we can do it even thro we all have some limitations (health, age, ect.) So I'm Proud of you coming in here to post each week Your trying every day to get thin and the healthy body you seek
MOcruiserman Posted May 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Hi Belle, thanks for the inspiring words. I'm still plugging away. Lost two more pounds to 197.5. Down a total of 28.5. Only 3 more pounds to go until my BMI crosses over from "overweight" to "normal". I hope everyone is OK and did well this past week.
shootr Posted May 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Morning Belle (and all)! Great start to the thread - the mani-pedi high still hanging with you!?! LOL Pretty good week here, down 1 to 181 - still staying on the low end of my sweet spot so that's cool. Keeping busy with some short road trips, and building kitchen cabinets. Now I spend after dinner each night assembly IKEA puzzles instead of grazing the pantry. Distractions, it's all about the distractions :-) (I'd post pics but CC just doesn't like any of my pic hosting sites anymore so it's too much of a pain - although this kaleidoscope selfie was pretty cool - at a shop in Jerome last weekend:
MOcruiserman Posted May 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Shootr, Good results - I'd love to be at 181. Your photos are amazing - what talent! I see why you call yourself "shootr".
winewanderer Posted May 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Hi Everyone, Hello Belle. Hubby and I are back from vacation. 5 weeks is a long time to be away. I gained 5 lbs., not bad. Now hubby and I are moving his inventory from our building we leased to a new office space. Our new space is 5 minutes from home, great. The moving is a pain. Lots of exercise though! Cruiserman and Shootr, good losses. Have a good week. Diana Edited May 26, 2016 by winewanderer
violetmoon1979 Posted May 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Hi Everybody! I lost 1.2 kilos this week for a total of 15.5 kilos! I still have a long way to go, ugh but at least I'm doing it! I was hoping my engagement ring would fit by now but it's still too tight.... sigh. I still have til November to lose enough to make it fit. LOL Oh Belle, I'm jealous. I'm sooooooooooo overdue for a mani/pedi and wax. LOL I haven't done any of those things since I've had this moon boot because it's just too much of a hassle to walk through the mall. My eyebrows look like caterpillars, my legs are like Chewbacca and my lip was getting pretty bad. My fiance finally had enough and was like, listen, I can deal with the hairy legs, I can deal with your crazy eyebrows, but please do something about your mustache. LOL So I shaved it. Whatever. LOL Moon boot finally comes off next week, so I'm getting pampered, long overdue. Great job with the weight loss shootr and cruiserman! Great job winewanderer with the minimal gain during a 5 week vacation!!!! Isabel

Belle Posted May 28, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted May 28, 2016 Cruiserman..Your doing good. Those three lbs will go fast..then you will be "normal"! (In weight that is) LOL shootr..Your keeping busy. Have fun with the kitchen. Hope your feeling better. You lost..great! Diana.. Welcome Back! Did you have fun on cruise and land trip? Only five lbs, Great Job! Thought husband retired, now moving to new office space. Isabel..Good loss with still having the boot. Glad you get it off soon. What date are you getting married in November? I was married in November. Jo..Slow and steady wins the race..that's right. You lost that's the main thing. Me myself just keep staying the same. Think it's just the stress of my mother. I have good days and then not bad days just not to good! Make sense? Yes got my nails done last weekend, needed it. I don't go the two weeks most do. I go four to five weeks. Isabel didn't get the other stuff done that you mention. Another exciting week here. Need to cut lawn and get weeds out. Keep putting it off and now it's hot outside for a few days. Sunday visit my mother even thro doesn't know me. It's hard. Just sit and hold her hand. She is going down hill but plugging along. So what ever you do this weekend hope it's not as "exciting" as mine! LOL

winewanderer Posted May 30, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Hi Belle, Well, hubby is "trying" to retire. When we leased our building last year he had a ton of inventory (audio equipment). Been selling it on Ebay, Craigslist, etc. He had the upstairs warehouse of our building for his stuff but belongs to our lessee now so we had to get out. He has sold a lot but still has a lot. He will lower prices, etc to get rid of the rest.....hopefully...... Diana
Belle Posted May 31, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Diana..I hope he/you get to sell everything soon so you can really retire. Tell me/us about your cruise/trip. shootr..Do you have Hammer Will Travel? I need new floors in my kitchen and family room! LOL You sure do keep busy. Last year the bathroom this year the kitchen. Can you believe it's almost June. Next holiday is July 4th. Where did the time go?
winewanderer Posted June 2, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Hi Belle/All, Hubby and I did a back-to-back 7 day Western Caribbean cruise then 14 day Transatlantic ending in Barcelona. We then flew to Madrid to spend 1 week then flew to Denmark to spend one week with hubby's brother. The trip was good except when we got to Barcelona it was rainy and cold. That weather followed us to Madrid and Denmark. In Madrid, our first day, we spent the entire day on our apartment, it was pouring. It hailed in Denmark. We didn't have enough winter clothes. We brought a few things like pants, sweater, 1 umbrella but really we needed a winter coat and boots. Every time we've been in Spain in May it was hot. Go figure. The Caribbean was great. We did a snorkel sailing excursion in St. Thomas, lots of fun, spent the day at an AI resort on Jamaica (great). The islands though were very windy so that was a bummer. The water was just too bumpy for snorkeling for the most part. We did a great wine tasting tour outside of Madrid and did a tapas tour and saw lots of the city despite the weather. Denmark was ok.......hubby's brother lives on an island about 3 hours from Copenhagen. There is nothing except sail but alas we couldn't go, the weather was just not good, water too rough. I did get to OD on blue cheese and gorgonzola (about the only things that are cheap there). The bridge to hubby's brother is $25 each way! Here are a few photos: hubby on St. Thomas snorkel, wine tasting, sites in Madrid and beautiful yellow flowers in Denmark (they make oil from it, it isn't mustard). Wish the weather had been better but you can't control mother nature! The ship, NCL Spirit, was ok for an older ship but lacked the bells and whistles. So that's about it. Have a good day. I'm exhausted. Today was our 10th day moving stuff and we're not done. Hubby is a hoarder. I've given him notice that next time he will have to move that stuff without me. My body is getting too old for that kind of manual labor! Bye for now. Diana Edited June 2, 2016 by winewanderer
Belle Posted June 2, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted June 2, 2016 Glad you had a mostly good time. Cruise's sounds nice, the two of you together and nice weather. The water looked so nice. Sorry the weather in Madrid and Denmark was so bad. Glad you got some sightseeing done in Madrid. Sure your husband happy to see his brother but to be stuck on the island, no so good. $25 each way on a bridge? That's bad. Thanks for the nice pictures. Now time to plan your next cruise/vacation. Five weeks not enough. Right? Sorry you had to help move husbands stuff AGAIN! Yes tell him he's on his own next time. Hope you will be done soon and can rest. shootr Posted June 2, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 2, 2016 Looks like a great getaway Diana, even with weather challenges it has to be great taking a break from moving! Seems like last few water excursions we booked got canceled from weather - which totally bums me out as I love for the water! (What can you expect from a desert rat like me)
