We have previously sailed on Navigator with friends, and had the partition on the balcony removed. It really increased our space, and fun. Will this again be possible on Explorer during our Med cruise in September?

[FONT=Times New Roman]Here's a balcony shot, HuntersMoon, and it looks pretty spacious don't you think? Remember, this was taken in mid-May so will look quite different by now :)

Also including a link to a slideshow I did from the shipyard. Slides #13 and #14 address the balcony situation (and if I were booking Explorer today I'd try for one on the hump).

A couple pieces of exciting news to share. First, Seven Seas Explorer will offer the largest balconies in the cruise industry – large enough for a sectional sofa and separate table for alfresco dining. But, if that’s not big enough for you, yes, the partitions can be removed to share balcony space with friends or family in neighboring suites. Carolyn, you were at the shipyard recently and got to see the size of the balconies – what did you think?

The balconies looked really big. We got to see one that was mocked up with furniture and everything, and it still felt super generous. Of course the balcony you'll want to book (note the reference to "want" :) ) is the Regent Suite's double balcony. It wraps around port, and wraps around again starboard, until meeting up with the beautiful all-glass conservatory in the middle.
