Thank you. That leads me to another question. We have the ultimate beverage package. It looks like 18% gratuity is included in the price. Does that mean we don't need to tip while on board? We're trying to figure out how much spending money we'll need.

I could swear the bartenders would make a shirley temple on my daughter's soda card last year on the Breakaway. Perhaps that is because I often had an extra $1 on the counter when I ordered a group of drinks.

CicilyMJ: yes, if you paid for the package your 18% is already included. You will only pay 18% on things NOT included in the package such as drinks over $15 (you pay cost minus 15), bucket of beers, etc. You are not required to tip anymore but some do for quick service or a bartender making a special drink, etc

 

Pelican: because the drink is basically Ginger Ale I would expect them to even without the $1

Hmmm learn something new everyday. I was buying it for my DD and she hates pop. Lol. I knew about the tax thing, but not this.

 

I wondering if when this started everyone had to have it and I just assumed it stayed that way.
