Sail & Sign Account Limitations?

You could put cash onto their accounts and limit the amount they can spend but not where they spend it.

IF they get access to your credit card I don't think you can limit the amount.

Folks can get carried away purchasing alcoholic drinks just as easily as they can get carried away spending in the casino so probably the amount is more important if you are watching your budget.

I'm confused. They are adults, can you simply tell them NOT to charge anything in the Casino? If they can't be trusted to follow those instructions, then I suggest you make them pay their own shipboard accounts (cash or credit card).

I have gone on a credit card with a limit before and they let the charges go above that limit. I was not keeping track so my bad. Luckily I had cash to pay the difference. I was on a cruise 08/13 and knew my limit on my card and I was able to set a limit so I would not go over. I leave all other credit cards at home so I can spend only what I plan. Hope this helps.

I assume you are treating them to the cruise and picking up the tab. Since they are adults I would treat them to a certain amount preloaded on their S&S account. Show them how to check their balance during the week so they can track what they have and how they can add more themselves if they want to spend more money. But the first X amount is on you. That way you they can't get carried away in the casino (which is really easy to do).

So something along the lines of I have prepaid your S&S account with $200, if you want to spend anything over that you'll have to pay for it yourself. If you have anything left at the end of the week cash it out, it's yours to do whatever you want with it.
