Gotta ask... since I have no clue... what is an "ABC?"  And, you certainly are right about the current prices, especially on Edge.

The ABC islands.....Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao.  Fabulous itinerary and love that on the longer cruises Celebrity ships do an overnight in Aruba

Looks like a lot of origami bends. So far I LOVE what I see and can’t wait to see what’s on board from this artist.

One of Xavier Vielhan's pieces is called Origami. 🙂 He has some great stuff and some less to my taste, but overall I am so excited to see his and other artists' work.

I remembered something that a Celebrity corporate person said to me (some of them like to talk about the Edge as much as I do 🙂).  She told me that the art on the ship was going to be remarkable and that there would be an art gallery onboard. She said something about partnering with a museum to have some pieces onboard (I didn't think much about it, thinking that it might be related to the art auctions). Looking at the volume of quality art onboard,  maybe some pieces are on loan and will be rotated out over time (and some may be for sale). The Faceless People and Mr. Edge may not be there forever.......

Maybe they will dress up Xavier's faceless ghost people - sort of like manikins.  A wreath for Xmas around the neck?  Some nice jewelry on Chic nights?

If some of the artwork installations change, I probably will not miss the faceless people (or the creepy trees - which, BTW, are not as creepy with more light on them, as in your more recent photo), but I most likely WiLL miss Mr. Edge. But, where IS he???  Maybe we can get Peter to ask Valentina for an update on his location, both current and permanent?  While I can stay away from the faceless people, because I don't dine in Blu and can access Eden from an alternate route, I am going to have to concentrate to remember to get to Cosmopolitan from the Casino by going the Starboard route to miss the creepy trees in the Port side corridor.  I better make a list... :classic_ohmy:

Mr Edge is in the barn hiding next to the Hippie Van on the trip to FLL.

Fun, but Xavier Vielhan may not approve. 😉  My understanding of this collection is that he may be making a statement about people becoming faceless in a crowd and this is a way to cause people to look at them and think about what kind of people they are (or that is how some have interpreted it).

I am hoping they decorate Mr. Edge for the holidays and the polar bear, Edgar (someone here thought would be a good name), would look great in some holiday wear.

Okay, on our cruise I am going to take you to the "Lions and Tigers and Bears" forest and help you through it - I know you can do it! 😉

Since you are on the December pre cruise maybe Edge will be all decked out for the holidays!

I am sure Mr. Edge would look great in some festive holiday gear.  But we need to keep in mind that Edgar was technically not a polar bear at all, just a person in a polar bear costume (which looks a lot like the Coca-Cola bear).  And, maybe that person would have to actually be working and could not be wandering around in a costume, festive or not.  That is going to be a problem.  And, I sure hope the puppy has been potty-trained during the TA, because he will not be very popular if he is not, if you catch my drift.  And... what is said puppy's name? It seems as if Mr. Edge is the only one that does not have problems, other than being MIA at the present time.

She arrives in Freeport, Bahamas on Wednesday not PEV. I think  She stays in Freeport for a few days to have some work completed before heading to Florida.

This is from 17 hours ago according to Marine Traffic. Destination is still Freeport, Bahamas (BS FPO).

Thanks longhorn2004!  That means that the new Terminal 25 will be opened this Thursday!  Can't wait to see it!  They are really cutting it close to Edge's arrival, but at least it is ready this week.

I think it is interesting that Edge will dock on her Starboard side, where the MC is.  I had wondered if MC would prohibit using that side, but obviously it does not, since she was on her starboard side in Ponta Delgada, too.  (And, yes, I know they had used both sides in St. Nazaire, also, but that could have been due to needing to work on the MC.)  You can be sure that it is giving a great view to everyone landside, which may be a factor also.  Free advertising never hurts, you know.

I wonder if in some ports such as Cozumel with another RCCL ship also in port wether she would dock on the starboard side or port side. Same thing in Saint Maarten if multiple ships are in port that day. Then again by being directly across another ship could be free advertising as you mentioned.

I guess the main and first thing is safety. Is there enough safe distance between the two  vessels across from each other. We know they know exactly what each pier at each port is like, so it will be fun to see and witness soon.

wow, anyone else notice how high the ceilings are in oceanview? that's awesome.

That might make the experience better, at least for me personally.

I am seriously planning to leave big ships, no matter how good they are. And that is mainly because I do not see any sense in competing with hundreds of people about the best bites at like 7 in the morning when, for the same price, I could travel on a small luxury cruise ship like let´s say Silversea and have my breakfast in a relatively relaxed manner.

Besides the shore excursion disembarkation chaos that keeps happening on big ships, that breakfast stress is my main issue with big ships. No, I do not want to have breakfast alone in my stateroom, thanks for the hint (if anybody was about to...).

With those high ceilings, the whole matter might seem a little more spacious and, with that, somewhat more... Well... Relaxed overall. Sorry for being unclear, massive headache today.
