Rare ghstudio Posted December 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Our cruise average age is probably around 70...and as you get older, you have different dietary wants and needs. I am sad to report that the equinox has run out of prunes! You can't even get a prune danish. I fear our next two days at sea will have long complaint lines at guest services, based on comments overheard at breakfast. Celebrity ought to send an emergency supply via helicopter to the ship. Let's see how quickly they can remove the fencing that surrounds the helipad. Or, what did you say was the compensation offer? OCruisers Posted December 16, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Oh, Good Grief! Some friends of ours will be on Equinox in a couple of days for their Christmas/New Year's cruise. Maybe I should tell them it's going to be a BYOP (bring your own prunes) cruise.
RELAX ME Posted December 16, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Obviously a money saving tactic. Don't serve prunes and lower food costs. Also save on maintenance because of less equipment wear and tear processing the byproduct. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

kitty9 Posted December 16, 2016 #14 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Oh well, at least there won't be the problem of plugged plumbing on the ship. Maybe with a few passengers, but not the ship's plumbing.

klfhngr Posted December 16, 2016 #18 Share Posted December 16, 2016 OMG, this reminded me of my second cruise in 1985: I was in the gift shop, this little old lady in a wheel chair comes in screaming, 'I'm clogged up, do you have something for me?' Being a smart alecky teen, I say, 'they have LOTS of prune juice in the buffet'! I was joking but she says, 'Thank you sweetheart, you're a life-saver'! She rolled away full speed ahead to the buffet!

Kmangel Posted December 17, 2016 #23 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Another special diet request to consider like gluten free, lactose free, and diabetic considerations. I have to have my prunes or it will be a deal breaker for me!

I'm sure the lines will be short, but the straining in the restrooms less so.
