Jimbo Posted December 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2016 What is the cost one way? Trying to figure out if it would just be less money to just rent a car for the day rather then using a taxi. The next day we would be using a taxi from San Diego Airport to the cruise ship terminal. Could someone give me an idea of prices to and from. SadieN Posted December 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Taxifarefinder.com will give you a good estimation of the fare. Last time I looked it also the included Lyft/Uber fares. Could rent a car RT airport then car shuttle it to the port. Edited December 23, 2016 by SadieN

Then take the car back to the Airport and take the $12.00 mile and half ride back to cruise terminal.

SadieN Posted December 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2016 I'm curious...Why on earth would you be returning to the airport?[emoji848] Sent from my iPad using Forums Because the airport is one of the closest places for rental cars. You could , if you were so inclined, to walk from the airport to the cruise terminal. Many rental car shuttles will drop off/pick up at the SD port. danzig1989 Posted December 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Gotcha. If I remember correctly, it seemed like the rental car lots are off site, but they still call them their "airport location." I'm sure Enterprise will drop you off wherever you need to go. And you're right, the port isn't that far from the airport. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Almost all the rental car companies in San Diego are now in a consolidated stack parking lot a good ways from the airport. http://www.san.org/Parking-Transportation/Rental-Cars I'd use Uber to Encinitas ($35?) and the port ($8). Splinter Posted December 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 25, 2016 I agree. I would either use Uber or a shuttle (SuperShuttle for example) which you could use both ways. Are you visiting friends in Encinitas? Could they just pick you up and return you to the pier??
