Rare Turtles06 Posted January 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Forward? Aft? Can you be more specific about what you'd like to know? (If you do book in the stern, go for Deck 10, where the balconies are larger (deeper) than they are on the other decks.)
Linda the Book Lover Posted January 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Can anyone share their opinions on these rooms please.....thinking about getting one for me and my GF. Thank you Brian Sent from my iPhone using Forums We stayed in SF-10164. The cabin was nice but the balcony was not as nice or large as the aft suite on the Star. There is room for two loungers which you will need to turn sideways.

Rare kjquilts Posted January 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Aft!!! Cabin 10000 Sent from my iPhone using Forums 10000 is forward facing suite .... here is a youtube video of same suite on sister ship Pearl. I love the bump out in the living room area. It makes the stateroom seem so much lighter / brighter. Here is youtube video of aft facing suite 10166 on the Jade. All the aft facing staterooms on deck 10 have deeper balconies and the suite aft facing balconies are wonderful. I love youtube for researching staterooms and am thankful for those who post videos for us.
jpcdds6 Posted January 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Jewel class category SF aft suites. We think they are the best non haven cabins in the fleet. Great view, quiet area of the ship, and a lot of bang for your buck. Try for deck 9 or 10 corner cabins. The Dawn class aft suites are great as well. Rare BirdTravels Posted January 19, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) Aft!!! Cabin 10000 Sent from my iPhone using Forums 10000 is an SE forward facing suite right under the bridge so you get an additional space in a bump out. This is the best room on the ship. GoAndHaveFun Posted January 19, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I love youtube for researching staterooms and am thankful for those who post videos for us. Agreed! Interestingly, one of my all time favorite stateroom videos was this couple showing their mini-suite on the Epic. Basically the girl was just completely sarcastic about it but in a very amusing way. It was as if they were purposely trying to shoot a bad informecial for the Epic mini-suite lol
shark with a laser Posted January 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 19, 2017 We had booked a 10 day Med cruise a few years ago in a balcony. 2 weeks before sailing we got an upsell offer for 10500, also under the bridge bump right next to 10000. The cabin made the trip that much more incredible! Sitting on the forward balcony having coffee as we came into port each morning was our daily routine. We would take the cordless phone from the room with us into port, and as we approached the ship, we'd call the butler and request ice, which was always waiting for us when we finally got to the room. After a long day exploring a city, we could come back to the cabin and just hang out in the cabin or on the balcony if we didn't feel like dealing with people.
