john watson Posted January 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Evening meals in the MDR, they always offer you iced water free of charge. You can order coke or beer, alternatively wine by glass or bottle but these are all chargeable. The prices on P&O are much cheaper than on US lines, similar to pub prices and do not have hefty service charges added US lines have. Another way you can save on alcoholic drinks with P&O is to take bottles of wine and spirits aboard yourself for consumption in your cabin, elsewhere attracts a corkage charge. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in your cabin free of charge. Fruit juices are free at breakfast. Regards John

Mr Piano Posted January 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2017 We have had this conversation before, when it was suggested P&O are similar to pub prices. I pay £2.40 for a pint of bitter in my local in the North. I will pay not far short of double that on board ship. So may be similar to southern pub prices but definitely not Northern prices

jh1809 Posted January 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2017 In addition to John Watson's answer, you are also offered tea or coffee free at the end of lunch or dinner and with your breakfast.

The Southerners were saying how cheap it was and the Northerners moaning about how dear it was!
