New UPDATED Current list of Cruise Directors (CD)

Recommended Posts

Joe,

Per his Twitter account, Jerome Sueur is on Brilliance until May 25th.

Mike

Thanks!

I've noticed that is a much longer than normal contract than normal, and given that Clo has said several times she is joining on May 1, Clo's date seems to make more sense.

At least we know that he is on until Clo arrives and nobody else is covering.

I'll assume the handover date is May 1 and mention that Jerome has said May 25.

Thanks very much for your help. Any experiences with some CD's?

Just off Anthem. It was my third time sailing with Dru Pavlov as CD. We really enjoy him! He is low-key with a good sense of humor. He gets very involved in trivia, and makes it entertaining! We thought he had excellent chemistry with Activities Manager Kevin (not such good chemistry with the previous AM Gio), and the sports trivia event they co-hosted was very entertaining. Dru's signature Seinfeld and Friends trivia contests are also lots of fun. He also arranged on our previous sailings for the headliners (Mo5aic) to do an extra, impromptu show in the music hall, and on this sailing, for the piano bar player (Sean - musical director of WWRY) to have the cast members join him for a singalong of songs from musical theater. Both of these were outstanding "extras"

My only observation on this last sailing is that the scheduling of events/activities was slightly odd. There would be times in the middle of the afternoon where there'd be nothing going on, and then other times when there was overlapping of the most popular events. This is not typical Dru, and I wonder if it's because this was only the 2nd cruise of his contract and he hadn't "fine tuned" the schedule yet.

You're right -- that does not sound like Dru. Possibly prescheduling by prior CD.

Any speculation where Marc will be going after his break? We loved him on Enchantment. I'm honestly surprised he's not returning to Majesty, as he seems to like sailing out of PC as his home is close by.

No way to know, he will be doing fill-in, so will have to go where needed.

He is a very upbeat CD! Very personable and easy to approach, too. He was doing some different pool games than we've seen before.

I didn't ask how long he'll be onboard, or who his replacement will be.

I believe the TA will be his last before Mercedes takes over, just a hunch though.

His Facebook post this morning says the schedule comes out today and he posted a picture of a Freedom class ship. Someone mentioned they thought he mentioned Galveston before. <FWIW
