Wonder of the Seas Blocks Are In The House!

I have a wild idea that they could offer the ship to first responders as they did with Spectrum and the bush fires.

A good publicity stunt
Sydney ,Brisbane,Singapore??

Australia definitely doesn't look likely for this. I guess they could offer something like this to Asian frontline workers, but it seems to out of culture for that to happen. And if anything, I would think RCL would want to rake in some cash with a new big ship, not offering losses to the company.

This is not a political statement of any kind.

This is only an observation...not meant to criticize anyone.

But it seems a bit of a paradox to have Royal Caribbean port  their largest and newest ship in an area of the world that originated billions of dollars of losses for the company.

OK - we can move on  now to enjoy the new ship build...

They seem to claim they can make it back in that market. Who knows for sure until they actually start sailing ships from there again.

The fact that Wonder is becoming more westernized throughout her construction might already address your concerns where future deployments would be more global rather than Asia (specifically China) focused.

Does anyone know if the windows around the solarium and Aquatheater have some type of protective film on them during construction or if that is how the final product will look? I can't imagine looking up in the solarium and not really being able to see the sky. Also, it's possible that the LED screen might not be quite finished yet. You have to remember that they are typically made up of dozens, if not hundreds of small panels all meshed together.

I can see your point and I would like to add the area is becoming unstable with war ships from all over the world. I think I read somewhere 70% of the world’s submarines are making time there.

But it’s potentially a big market and anything for a buck.

The 10Q SEC report RCG filed last week still shows delivery Q1 2022.

I think the ship yard may have other ideas.
Sea trials in a bit over a week and someone is going to be wanting a paycheque soon.

I agree something doesn’t add up but what does add up these days.

Seriously?!

This guy has been making these requests constantly as soon as there is a possibility someone might have posted something.  For @billaraneta these images are being found by @Lloyd555 through some fantastic digging.  There is nobody here taking pics for you upon request, I explained that in a previous post.

Oh, and using all caps is considered yelling on the internet, my ears are now bleeding from your yelling, it also won't get you more pics faster...

This is a beautiful photo of some memorable locations around the world setup nicely at NextCruise to entice one to book a new cruise.

Lot’s going on in that picture.

I didn’t know Santorini had a harbour bridge like Sydney.

As has been posted before in this thread, the cruises are posted on the Royal website.

Now to go stem the bleeding from my ears from all the yelling...

Funny thing is I had to stop and edit what I was writing. As I first saw the picture I said oh Santorini but then there was the Sydney Bridge and then somewhere in Alaska I think 😁
