casofilia Posted May 15, 2017 #1 Posted May 15, 2017 Has anyone who has arranged a Meet & Greet arranged for a ship's photographer to attend to take a group photo? If so, was there a cost for actually having one attend? Thanks Mike
Rare gotta cruise again Posted May 16, 2017 #2 Posted May 16, 2017 Yes, I had a photographer attend on Regal this past February. No extra cost to have her show up but it was easy for me to run to photo area to get her when we were ready for group picture. Many at M&G had the photo package and excited about adding this photo to their package. NOTE: it clearly states (if time taken to read fine print!) that specially arranged pictures are not included in any photo package. So plan on buying the photo if you want it. Photo staff did give one to one person as part of their package; told me 1 photo $25; and told a third person they'd have to buy all 25 pictures printed...hopefully the 3rd just misunderstood.
Rare trbarton Posted May 16, 2017 #3 Posted May 16, 2017 I have had a photographer come many times. I have a template inviting a photographer & the principal ship officers. I deliver the letter for the photographer personally to the photo department & ask them to come 1/2 hr after the start of the M & G. The day of the event I verify that they are sending a photographer. If one has the photo package & has the photo loaded on a flash stick it can be shared with other people. I post it on CC. No cost to have the photographer come, just the cost to by the photo. Tom:D

Interesting. If you purchase the unlimited photo package ahead of time, there is no fine print about anything other than the Platinum Studio. I can't see how they can enforce a contract you don't see until after you pay for it. There is no where to click to see more fine print. It simply says, "Take home all the prints and digital files of your cruise for one low price. Plus, purchase pre-cruise and save $50 USD compared to the onboard price of $249 USD.* *Pre-cruise promotional offer. Excludes Platinum Studio."

I had to push really hard to get a few event photos on my January cruise, by showing a screenshot of what you are promised (and no fine print anywhere) when you prepurchased online. I was only able to get them to give me a few.
Rare gotta cruise again Posted October 31, 2017 #8 Posted October 31, 2017 The photo package that many at our M&G had was the $99 for all the photos you took and included both prints and digital on a 'ship' USB. But it said that photos taken by special arrangement would not be included. It may be that the $249 (or $199 advance purchase) package may have more leniency than that trial $99 offer.

Also, some special event packages state that photos are not included with the all-inclusive photo package or verbiage to that effect...
