Taxi's in NOLA - Flat Rate?

I am just curious if the Taxis from the airport to the cruise port are one set rate. Or do they charge by time/distance?

Taxis from the airport to the FQ, Central Business District, and Warehouse district are $36 for 1 or 2 people. If you have 3 or more, then it is $15 pp (http://www.flymsy.com/PageDisplay.asp?p1=6016).

 

I believe the port is included in the area covered by this flat rate. Any rides you take within town are on the meter.

We will be in Metarie the night before the cruise. Any idea what a cab to the port will cost?

Taxi fare finder says $30ish. Uberx estimates $15 from the country in. And suites in Metairie
