Used Dishes?

I agree totally. I hate looking at someone else's dirty dishes in the hall. Also it makes it difficult for people with mobility issues.

I also agree. And it's not just because it's difficult for those with mobility issues. Imagine if there was an emergency and the passageway was filled with people heading for muster stations. Now they're tripping over trays left in the passageway... not a pretty sight.

All I can say is DO NOT put your dirty dishes out in the hall. It is tacky, nasty, unsafe, and generally totally low class - not to mention unsightly, rude, and unsafe. Call room service or let your steward call room service (it isn't the steward's job and he/she will call room service to have the dishes cleared). I've cruised a couple of times with our son who is a disabled veteran in a wheelchair and those dishes are a definite cause of "less than nice" language. Even when cruising without our son we find them to be pretty much disgusting. A Princess cruise ship is not a Las Vegas casino hotel.

Have you seen many birds at sea?
Yeah,we were in the middle of the Tasman sea having breakfast in HC and 2 giant Albatross were flying next to us looking at my eggs and bacon thru the window.Gospel truth.

Since it not part of their normal diet I wonder if they would eat bacon or eggs if give the chance?

Where do you put used dishes from room service/buffet?

Do you leave them in your cabin?

Or, put them in the hall?

Great question, interesting thread. Until now I placed in front of my door when leaving but after reading the comments I will be changing my action and leaving the used dishes in my cabin.

Having cruised with my son, who was in his early 30's at the time but had become a majorly disabled veteran at the age of 20. and pushing his wheelchair along the halls trying to make our way past the steward's carts and then, in addition, trying to deal with the dirty dishes of the thoughtless people who had put them out in the hallway, I would have gladly tossed those people overboard. Try to think of someone other than yourself.

I remember the good old days when they allowed skeet shooting off the stern.

Passengers would line up to shoot at small clay targets with shotguns.

Maybe they could re-introduce this and use some of the used plates caked with stubborn mash potato for those that cant hit the little clay targets.

I wish I had cruised when they had skeet shooting, reckon they could use baked flour pigeons and rock salt in the guns, bugger all environmental impact.
