Etiquette for using hot tubs, best shoes for a male

You can buy lanyards with large waterproof pockets for holding ship cards money, cell phones, etc. Great both on board and during excursions when you expect to get wet or use the beach - totally waterproof. Big box online store carries them...

Hot tubs are full of germs, kids go in there to pee and some drunken adults do it also.

I have been on a few cruises but have not used the hot tubs or pool. I assume you need to shower before using them. That's the rule in my condo. Anything else I should avoid doing?

 

I believe I have read that flip flops are not safe on wet decks. What footwear is recommended?

 

I'm a male solo cruiser. How does one keep track of their sign and sail card under these conditions?

Crocs provide decent grip and are what I wear into the Cloud 9 Spa steam rooms and T-Pool. Most of the other time I wear a closed-toe sandal....Teva Omnium Leather Sandal with spider rubber outsoles. I swear these things will give you traction if you were walking in a oil spill on ice. I wear these into the MDR all the time...even on "elegant night" with my dockers...and since these are not sold at Walmart, I think I am good!
