Amber cove beach ideas??

hello everyone! Just thought I would ask if anyone has done a beach break excursion on carnival at Amber cove before? I know there's a big pool for free in the immediate area of Amber Cove but since we have a pool at home we were looking for more of a beach type activity instead. We are a family of 4...our children are ages 5 and 8 at the time of sailing. I see that there are basically 2 excursions that fit our ages for the children that go to a beach type activity...coconut grove beach break...which is cheaper... or la casa en la playa. Has anyone been on either of these two excursions that could tell me how they were? We basically just want to let our children play in the sand and go swimming in the ocean....don't really need to do anything else. Thanks so much. Also we sail in February if that makes a difference.
