"Highlights of the Mediterranean" info needed

Hi all

 

We're going on our first ever cruise in September and are trying to plan a number of excursions 'on our own'.

 

We've booked both 'Rome on your own' & 'Florence on your own' and are wondering where the TUI/Thomson coach drops you off. We know where we want to go and have a circular route, we just need to know where the coaches usually drop off so we can put things in the right order.

 

In addition, we've not booked any excursion for Barcelona as we're led to believe that it's easy enough to get into the city directly from where to Discovery docks. From what I saw on Friday 25th August, Discovery was docked at terminal C on Adossat...is it easy enough to get into the city from there & if so, how do you get from the ship to the port entrance?

 

Any help or advice will be gratefully accepted.

If terminal C is the further away one (rather than the one at the world trade centre) then there is a shuttle bus to the bottom of the Ramblas from outside the port terminal. Sorry not sure of the price but something like €6 euros return.

I've done Rome On Your Own twice now, and both times we have been dropped off and picked up on the north side of the river just outside the Supreme Court, just by the Ponte Umberto I.

Thanks Sheila...terminal C is one of the furthest ones, looks like the shuttle bus for us (probably need it with the amount of walking we're planning lol).

Do you happen to remember what time you left the port and got off the coach? Just in case we book any 'timed' tickets.
