i have a feeling Norwegian might follow Carnival with having a barbecue restaurant on the ship
I'd love a good barbecue restaurant.

Can they make good barbeque on a ship? I have my doubts.

Otherwise, I'd say Mexican / Latin American.

Why not; there are many good BBQ restaurants that serve great BBQ.

I too doubt they could produce good BBQ on a cruise ship. I’d bet it would be grilled meat dunked in BBQ sauce and then labeled BBQ. Real BBQ requires low heat and long cooking times which I doubt a cruise ship would want to be bothered with.

Use it for a strip club.

LOL.

But barbecue? Not really worth an upcharge. Make it free to give back the Margaritaville takeaway.

Or we could leave Moderno where it is and just suggest something extra to be added!

I love Moderno!

We love moderno... but if they think it has to go because having Cagney’s and moderno is too much steak... then I would love a good Mexican place or a good Asian... where you can get more than hibachi—which we love too btw.

I voted for both - BBQ and Mexican.

That way if someone doesn't like one, they may like the other. Having two restaurants in one seems like they could fill it pretty easily. Especially if they have great

margaritas!

A Norwegian restaurant. It's like they're "Embarrassed To Be A Norwegian" We had some passable potato pancakes at breakfast for a few days, but no herring, no lutefisk. How hard would it be to whip up a proper cold board?

I was not a fan of the Moderno, but if they had some Norwegian reindeer meat on a stick...? Could have been a game changer. Pickled fish in a cream sauce? Perfection!

This is awesome. It is impossible to be sure this is serious or sarcasm. They could offer the Real Norwegian Meal Plan. I haven't been to Norway but I think it would be like my Sweden trip. Fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner with some cheese and meatballs on the side. But for your last dinner you wander the ship and fall into La Cucina and order everything on the menu.

It is dead serious.

Respect the Koldtbord.

If I can phone a friend from the Dakotas, I'd appreciate a little help.

Monderno is being replaced by Los Lobos

That would be awful. Low priced food with an upcharge.

I enjoy Moderno's! The salads are always great! I can make a meal off the salads! I saw many critiques that the salad bar is usually empty...I have never experienced that.....but we usually eat early, so maybe that is why! And the meat is usually scrumptious! Carne-fest! I vote to keep it!

Open a rotating restaurant that specializes in food and entertainment from the region you are sailing.. a little cajun out of New Orleans, jerk chicken while in Jamaica, Bangers & Mash out of Southampton, etc.

That may actually be a good idea!

I do really like the salad bar at Moderno and enjoy having many different meat choices. However, the last few times I have found the meats to be WAY TOO SALTY. Now, I don't think I can go back:(

So, if there is going to be a change at all the regional idea seems to be somewhat attractive.

I enjoy Moderno. What’s not to like about an unlimited parade of meat brought to your plate?

If I had to choose, I’d say there is a definite lack of Tex-Mex on any ship.

(y) Hola, this gets our vote ... adapt it seasonally and for regional cuisines - make good use of all those international gallery talents onboard the fleet of ships.

Well, most great bbq is done with smokehouses or pits. Not really conducive to a ship.
